Meet Moses

Rescued In: Egypt

Moses’ story began in Cairo, Egypt, where he was cruelly abandoned at a hospital with his jaw broken in six places. Bleeding, in excruciating pain, hungry and frightened, he wandered the hospital grounds searching for the person who left him.

A rescue organization brought Moses into their care and provided the urgent surgery he needed. His jaw was repaired in Egypt, and over nearly a year, he slowly recovered before being adopted by Brian and Lauren in the United States.

Despite his initial surgery, Moses continued experiencing complications and ultimately required corrective surgery. Today, Moses is pain-free, thriving in his forever home, and a testament to resilience and the power of a second chance.

Meet Elote

Rescued In: Guatemala

Elote was rescued from the streets of San Marcos La Laguna, Guatemala, severely emaciated, covered in mange, and so weak he could barely stand. His condition was critical, and he was transferred to San Cristóbal de las Casas, Mexico, for intensive care.

Veterinarians discovered he had been eating rocks to survive and was suffering from severe anemia, blood parasites, and extreme malnutrition. After months of treatment, nutritional rehabilitation, and compassionate care, Elote slowly recovered.

After his release, his original rescuer, who had returned to the United States, came back to adopt him after moving back to Mexico, giving Elote the safe and loving home he fought so hard to live for.
